Blackey
Im sure that the big majority of the people (except some exceptions) stop having sex after a certain age, i can bet with you that most of their 80's do not have sex, also im pretty sure that people in their 60's do not have sex, im also pretty sure that in 50's most of the people do not really have sex anymore, although some people do, so perhaps 40 is the age when people actually slowing down on sex and from their early 40s moving to their late 40's while slowing down and stopping having sex, i assume women stop having sex before men do, but it is just a hypothesis. what do you think? Crazyaboutdogs
STDs are running rampant amongst senior citizens because many assume it can't happen to them and they don't use condoms because pregnancy is no longer an issue. Plenty of seniors have an active sex life. Link to comment
Celestialagape54
Well I don't know if this will be too much information but my grandfather is 77 and my grandma is 69, and as far as I know they still do the deed LOL. Link to comment
Go Habs Go
They don't. Many are active in their 60s, 70s, and even 80s. But it is true that they also have STD issues because since pregnancy is a non-issue, protection is non-existent. Link to comment
Capricorn3
so perhaps 40 is the age when people actually slowing down on sex and from their early 40s moving to their late 40's while slowing down and stopping having sex, i assume women stop having sex before men do, . what do you think? I think you're kidding right?? The vast majority of women actually hit their peak into their 40's (I know I did) and some men at that age can't keep up with them, lol. I think you are way way waaaay off the mark here. Way off. Link to comment

alli
I vaguely remember a college class talking about the active sex lives of senior citizens. If they have the opportunity & ability (a partner & their natural abilities/viagra) they probably are doing it. I think you would be suprised how many old people still do it but I'm pretty sure I'm not going to go ask them. For the most part I prefer not to think about it. Link to comment
Keyman
I thought the sex expiry date for humans starts when we are packed in box and buried. For guys, when the rest of the body goes stiff too. Link to comment
Mauxly
I turn 40 tomorrow and I'm pretty much a nympho at this point. I kind of figure that I finally know what it feels like to be a 16 year old boy. The wind blows and I'm sporting a girl boner. Thank god for an endless supply of batteries. Link to comment

teabee
From a current textbook (published this year): Moreover, studies have indicated that men and women in their eighties and nineties are often quite capable of enjoying intercourse. For example, in one study of 202 healthy men and women between the ages of 80 and 102, it was found that nearly two-thirds of the men and one-third of the women were still having sexual intercourse, although this was not generally their most common form of sexual activity. Hermes
WHERE did you get those IDEAS from, Blackey LOL!!!! My mother used to say that a man only stopped when he was maybe a week under the ground LOL. And a little story: An elderly couple, friends and neighbours of friends of mine. He is 84, she about 70. He is fit, plays golf, very active. She has a few health difficulties, mainly rheumatism related. She was complaining to my friend how he wants sex every night, and that finally she was able to get him to agree to just three nights a week. So there! H Link to comment
