No? Why should I pay for it? Any guy I'm dating would be able to pay for his own health insurance and any medications as necessary. Is he going to pay for my medications? Pay for my birth control and calcium supplements? I think not.

The ED would not bother me. If it's a real problem (NOT using viagra as a recreational drug, that's another guy I would never date!) and I really like the guy we'll work through it. But he'd have to see his own doctor and pay for it himself.

Now, if it was my commited boyfriend, that's a whole different ballgame.

I'd give her some of mine, free of charge.

I am just a sensitive kind of guy you know.

Not sure why a girl would ever need to pay for it lol. I probably shouldn't have voted.

Women are advised not to even touch the pills. I'm not sure what the consequences would be either.

That makes sense. But what if he already had a prescription but just didn't have the cash to fill it at the moment?

she'd have to be pretty ugly and inexperienced if on a date she feels she needs to give me viagra. she better be ready for hours of fun too, cause i'm not leavin until this sucker wears off.

The premise of the question implied a need.

ready2heal, the answer would still have to be "no". If he didn't have the cash, then why can't he use his credit or debit card?

If it's a guy I was just beginning to date, I think it's a bit weird to be running errends (going to the pharmacy) together as part of the date.

It just smells like a scam to me. "Oh, I left my wallet at home..." Then get the prescription another time. Of course, I'm biased a bit because I don't have sex with people unless it's a committed boyfriend/girlfriend type situation, which then of course I'd be willing to pitch in. So it really wouldn't be a problem to get it *right then*, he can just get it later when he has the cash on him.

I'm not going to open up a can of worms and say that if he can't pay for a prescription, then how is he going to pay for the date? I'm still in college, so for me it's perfectly acceptable to go dutch on the first couple of dates. That's what I would prefer, actually. It would really turn me off if a guy invited me out then couldn't pay for his half of dinner and then wanted me to get some medicine for him.

Yes that's the option I went with lol. OP are you asking because you are thinking of doing that?

Well, I am at the age when men start using that stuff. Some have been in accidents, some are just out of condition, some like the freedom from worry, etc... Anyway, it hasn't been a dating issue yet but it by the time I date again it could very well be. I'm just trying to plan ahead.

Yeah, but here we get into the gray area. Date, bf, loved one. It's not always clear. The original intent was date which I guess for some would also have to mean bf.

date = not exclusive

bf = exclusive

loved one = could be bf i guess, could be unexclusive too

the original intent was a date? then no, i wouldn't suggest it.

dating and serious, well, i'd have the exclusive talk unless there is trouble in paradise if you know what i mean.

Well, in my current relationship, we have "boy stuff" and "girl stuff" that we are each responsible for.

I am responsible for taking my birth control on time, paying for it if necessary (currently insurance takes care of it) etc. I am responsible for making sure that my Nuva Ring is still inside me after sex.

He is responsible for condoms. Buying them, putting them on, throwing them away.

So I suppose when I get the the age where men may need viagra I would just expect them to pay for it and have it available as they felt they needed it. If I needed some extra lube or whatnot, I would feel that it was my responsiblity to supply that as well.

That's the why it works for me and my boyfriend currently and it seems to work pretty well.

Yes, it confuses me. I am already exclusive when I date although it may be short lived and never make it to bf. bf would be semi-serious to loved one. I've changed with time and circumstances.

There's not much comparison between the price of lube and the price of viagra. Many older men have had vasectomies so additional birth control isn't always necessary.

are you in UK by chance? i know they have a different idea of what being exclusive is than in the US. i do not think exclusivity means dating or having a date, so...
