Animals in need

Where's the best place to donate money for animals, where my money would go the farthest and really help some unfortunate little critters?

Humane Society?

Ya...local shelters and other non-profit rescue organizations that are all over.

So it would be better to donate locally than donate online or something to some animal rescue group that works all over? I was kinda thinking along those lines, but I guess I could send my local humane society a check

We had stray kittens and got hold of this woman who is part of a rescue organization that helps to spay/neuter cats for adoption & prevention...and runs strictly by donation. I think we've found at least three private organizations like hers in the past aside from local city/town shelters.

I agree. Either that or a no-kill shelter. I can't afford money donations, so I take blankets, extra food, and toys to this place when I can:

They are a great no-kill shelter. Tomorrow I'm taking a huge bag of dog toys to them.

If I have money to donate though, I donate online to kill shelters (not to kill them, but like George said, the more money they have, the better the animals are taken care of.)
