2 weeks in Thaliand. How much money should i take?

I'm going to Thailand in 2 weeks with a friend and am wondering how much money to take.

I was out there a few years ago for a month but don't remember how much i spent.

Am thinking of cheap hotles, although not the cheapest, a few beers most nights, decent class travel on trains.

Anyone been recently and how much should i budget on spending?

Well i don't know how much money you should take but a piece of advice, get all the hepatitis shots. I have a friend who went there a year ago and came back with Hep A, so make sure you get them.

couple of grand ....travelers checks only though....be safe...its a fun and dangerous place......anything goes there

And take some industrial strength condoms as well if you intend to do the Thailand sex tour thing.

Be very careful about not carrying too much money (to get robbed) and not giving the sex workers any access to your rooms or possessions where they can steal things.
