Yay I was hoping to find such a thread as this.

Couldn't find a URL image. Hmm. Natural Born Heroes, by Christopher McDougall. Despite its title, makes the point that heroism is a skill, not a virtue. As in Born to Run, vivid vignettes underpinned by biochemistry and biomechanics. Fascinating.

i tried to read eli wiesel's Night. i can't even get past the foreword without bawling my eyes out. forget that. it went back to the library.

Ohhh, I love that book. Very sad but very worth it.

It's been a long time since I've cried while residing a book but "Flowers for Algernon" did it for me.

I'm re-reading The Poisonwood Bible. I haven't read it in about 15 years...interesting to read it from the perspective of a mother...of a wife. My thoughts were so different reading this at 19.

After the trailer, I just had to. This is my third time overall.

im rereading 'History of the First World War' by Liddell Hart, very enjoyable read for me.

I love everything about the book. I bought it digitally for 2 dollars awhile back.

I just started to read "Carrie" by S.King

I've read them before, but don't remember enjoying them. I wanted to give them another chance before I donate them.

I just finished Be Buried in the Rain, and wasn't particularly impressed. But this one is actually kind of good.

Based on what was essentially a teaser for the movie I wanted to figure out what it was, I started the Mortal Engines series. I'm early in, but I like it so far.
