A couple on the go, as usual, but FINALLY got a new copy of "Shake hands with the Devil" by Romeo Dallaire and that one has my primary attention right now.

When I was a teen, I loved Anne Rice books for my juicy trash-sex-romance fix. Some of those scenes are hooot. (or at least I thought so as a teen!).

Does this book talk about mindful meditation at all? I took a class in this 2 years ago and it was really helpful. "Practice" was a key element.

Just finished A Thousand Splendid Suns, can't decide if I liked this one or the Kite Runner better. Has anyone read these two?

I have heard great things about Kite Runner but haven't read it yet.

I think I would have to go with liking "A Thousand Splendid Suns" better, but you're right - it's a tough choice. I guess I don't think that "Kite Runner" held-up as well through the ending as did the other. Both were exceptional though.

Right now I'm reading "Survivor" by Chuck Palahniuk and "The Subterraneans" by Kerouac.
