  1. Absolutely take your car back to where you’d purchased with the diagnostics. Good on you for taking it somewhere other than purchasing location. If they don’t respond, let them know you’re seeking legal counsel. The right letterhead can often get things in motion. Fun bmw story. About 6 years ago I had a similar noise coming from my X5, and then sunroof was intermittently not working. I took it to the dealership that day. The final answer… new sunroof. Thankfully I had negotiated/paid for an extensive warranty contract with Easy Care) because this next bit is a doozy. The sunroof cost was $8,000. However, easy care covered that cost - minus deductible.
  2. Do you have holiday decorations? What about guest bedroom bedding, pillows, beach towels? I could see something like that being in a mislabeled and/or reused storage container, or placed in a cozy spot amongst other items.
  3. Can you further look into the company you’re looking to apply with? Perhaps on Glassdoor, LinkedIn etc.? If I’m reading what you’ve asked correctly — I too would feel a bit suspicious of a vague application process requesting social security number and 3 references. Unfortunately the world we live in is full of people looking to financially gain by way of creating hardship upon others. On the flip-side, there are more of those who would never dream of such malicious and deviant behavior. Maybe you could reach out to the company directly and request an in person interview.
  4. This behavioral stampede is kinda cringy. I would for sure leave this/her alone. Indefinitely. “El” sounds like an overly polite person, and you sound incredibly overbearing. Everyone in your group here has sincerely faltering boundaries.
