It was a night of passionate kissing with my guy, but the next morning I woke up and noticed my lower lip looked kind of strange. It looks bruised, but it doesn't hurt. People keep asking me about it and I tell them it is a bruise. But I'm almost positive it isnt. Can you get hickeys on your lips? Basically it looks a darkish read with a dark blueish black spot. Can that be caused by him sucking on my lips?

My guy and I have never technically been boyfriend and girlfriend because of some complications in our relationship, but we still make out quite frequenty. Basically what we do the whole time is kind of the "sucking on a popsicle" type thing. (If that gives you an interesting visual...) It's nice, don't get me wrong, but sometimes I want some variation. I dont know how to tell him what I want because he pretty much takes change in the kissing thing. Someone gave me this new idea to take charge in the kissing, and I definitely would do this but I just had surgery on my mouth and so kissing is definitely out of the question. And by the time I'm back up to it, he's going to be gone for quite a while. We have talked about french kissing because we arent totally doing that yet, and we dont know if we're quite ready for that. Sometimes I just want slower, more romantic kisses, but I dont know of a way to tell him without hurting his feelings. Help please!

There's a certain rythm you have to get into when you're having longer kisses. With each partner it's different. When my partner now first kissed me our rythm was totally off, but it does prove that practice makes perfect because after a while of doing it we both adjusted and now our rythm is good. You dont want to be opening your mouth while he/she is closing thiers. Honestly, as much as you've probably heard it, you just have to go with the flow and do whatever feels right. I went into my first kiss completely unprepared and I came out fine. Improvise and try new stuff, you cant really go wrong with it. The best practice you can get is actually doing it.

Yes I am a girl, and I havent told my guy this yet, but we absolutely LOVE it when you run your fingers thru our hair. Or just play with it or put your hand on the back of our head to pull us in closer. Ridiculous at it may sound, trust me, it's amazing. If she doesnt seem to like that for some reason (girls are different, and some dont like to have their hair played with) try cupping her chin and tilting it up towards you before you kiss her. Also picking her up and kissing her while holding her in the air is nice too.
