  1. Another question: what do you guys call those people who lend you money but expects absurdly high interest in return?
  2. That's why there are legal documents to handle. Okay, i'll stop thinking. Awesome piece of knowledge to know. Btw DN, i thought you were joking at first, so out went my 2nd post.
  3. I'm still thinking about it... I'm thinking that the reason why it's illegal is because Ponzi didn't keep his words and eventually, the government banned this scheme. It also somehow relates to taking advantage of foreign currencies, which a normal person without any legal knowledge shouldn't play with it. here is the article Ponzi schemes are a type of illegal pyramid scheme named for Charles Ponzi, who duped thousands of New England residents into investing in a postage stamp speculation scheme back in the 1920s. Ponzi thought he could take advantage of differences between U.S. and foreign currencies used to buy and sell international mail coupons. Ponzi told investors that he could provide a 40% return in just 90 days compared with 5% for bank savings accounts. Ponzi was deluged with funds from investors, taking in $1 million during one three-hour period—and this was 1921! Though a few early investors were paid off to make the scheme look legitimate, an investigation found that Ponzi had only purchased about $30 worth of the international mail coupons. I'm still wondering if it's the system that's illegal or if it undergoes some legal documents, it would be okay. Cause I heard people are doing this in the US in order to accumulate money for their new business venture. It doesn't sound like a scheme when you're getting basically a 10% return on a 3 year investment. Perhaps it's only done within families & relatives?
  4. For some reason, it seem very logical. I just thought if it's legally handled, this would be workable.
  5. I hope this doesn't diverge into another topic. I'll re-write what i wrote Here is how it works. 72 people put $450 in order to accumulate $32400, then the money is placed as a bid. The person who won the bid can get all $32400 to do his own stuff for 3 years. When the 3rd year ends, the person who bid on the money has to pay an addition of $3600 (like interest) for the 72 people who placed the money for the bid.
  6. Thanks for the advice. I'd rather ask to know if there is any than not ask and end up with one.
  7. I haven't played a good game since 2-3 years ago. There isn't even any good games lately is there? If you're stuck at home playing games, I suggest you do what I call an Intense Period of Heaven. Here are the steps. 1. Stop accumulating anymore games 2. Stop any online games [read below] 3. Get out a planner & identify all your free time 4. Fill all your free time to finish all the games you have 5. Delete the game from your Harddrive. 6. Hide the installation CD. I think these steps are all pretty easy, try to overcome step 2 for the first 90 days, then reward yourself and play a little. If you really couldn't get rid of online games, give yourself an illusion whereby you'll finish the game within a certain number of hours. Say for example, for the online game you're currently playing, give yourself 90 hours of non-guilt enjoyment of it until the game ends. So fill all your free time to finish that 90 hours, and then follow step 5 & 6.
  8. I've heard that there's a system whereby a startup investor (non-stock related) can bid money (say, $36000) in order to live 2-3 years. The time not working is for them to spend time on their own plan to make money with a high return. Here is how it works. You guys know what these type of bidding is called? Anybody have access to it?
  9. As a brother, instead of hating him, you first have to learn to not get bothered by him. Next step is to help him with life. The "how" part is up to your heart and your intelligence. Good luck
  10. That's an interesting comment BigGuy. You made me wonder if female would like guys due to reason Y, and they would approach their life on becoming reason Y to think they can attract guys. Just a random thought with no backup experience on this one.
  11. Whatever's done are always good. I understand there is a lot of things that stops them from going after the girl. But they tend to stay in contact with the girl despite their own issues. That's why i suggested to wait a bit and see the answer before contacting. I don't know his reaction to this, but keep - in your emotion state - a friend thing. Whatever happen is a bonus.
  12. Exciting!!! It's been awhile since somebody posted such good news!! Good luck you to you and your sis on finding a solution !
  13. Just be patience. Answers will come to you. Good results/Bad results, it always end good because you'll find the right one and marry him in the end. I personally believe that people who don't screw themselves over with drugs/alcohol or don't have personal insecurity issues, will find a good guy in the end. It's given to you, all you need is to work on yourself. A healthy individual just doesn't attract unnecessary people into your life. It just doesn't.
