Jessica Simpson's New Swimwear Collection

Hollywood actress, pop singer and reality star Jessica Simpson is set to launch a collection of her new swimwear range, in addition to her ongoing accessories, shoes, outerwear, handbag, and luggage lines.

The 29-year-old superstar worked in collaboration with her mother Tina and upscale designer bathing suit company Red Carter to create her new line, Jessica Simpson for Red Carter, which will hit the shelves on December 30th 2009.

According to the actress, her new spring line was inspired by her favourite vacations and the jet-setting getaways she has dreamt about. From the nautical seashores at home, to hot Havana nights or the variety of great bright colors one could just think of in an exotic foreign country, the new collection is described as fun and flirty, but still so classic. Simpson added that it is her fans who have always gave her an inspiration in life and that she wants her items to be pieces that women will feel confident wearing anywhere.

The actress told the journalists that her mother Tina was a great contributor in creating the swimwear range. "My mom is also a huge part of the line. We love working together from inspiration to final product we touch each and every item," said Simpson. When asked in an interview about how a woman can feel comfortable in a bikini, the celebrity's answer was that a person has to be comfortable in his/her own skin in the first place because when a person feels good about him-/herself, they are going to look great no matter what clothes they are wearing.

The new collection will offer us styles ranging from traditional triangle to strapless bandeau to "sweetheart" necklines in vivid hues. Styles will also include animal, checkerboard and floral print bikinis and ruffled bandeaux with tie-side or scoop bottoms. Though some suits such as a butterfly printed two-piece, verge on pre-teen extreme, one of the best items of the collection is the gingham "picnic" bikini with button closure and white eyelet trim. Without any doubt, when styling these suits, accessories should be limited to the Jessica Simpson big straw cowboy hat and metallic wedges.

As for her own tricks for looking good, Simpson said that, in her opinion, the secret to beauty is confidence. "If you are happy and find beauty on the inside, it will surely translate to the outside. And smile!" she concluded.

Red Carter started out in Los Angeles, working in collaboration with the brands such as of Mossimo, Guess, Victoria's Secret and Espirit. Carter is going to continue to design his own Red Carter Glam, Red Carter and Sandy Bottoms collection while creating and developing swimwear line for the tabloid target's fashion label Jessica Simpson Collection.
