The Pill and period

Hi, Well I'd really like some help on this one as I have no idea what to expect. I've beeen on the Pill for three weeks and reached my first inactive tablet yetsterday. I have seven inactive tablets. How long does it usually take before my period is expected to come? I'm experiencing some pretty sticky discharge at the moment and I wonder, is this normal? Help, I'd just like a little advice on what to expect during this time. I'm a newbie to all this

Your period should come anytime while you're on the inactive pills. Your first period after starting the Pill can be very light or even just spotting. This is ok, as your body is still adjusting to the hormones.

The sticky discharge is a good indication you should start bleeding soon. Don't worry.

Things should settle down in a couple of months, the first month after you've started the pill is always a bit weird but it'll sort itself out soon enough

I've had my period start as late as three days after I take the first inactive pill. The above posters are right, your first period will be a bit wacky.

I'm sort of similar. My period is really irregular. Sometimes I get it about 3 weeks late.
I got in so much trouble one time because my mum thought I was pregnant!
I will have to go on the pill. I also get really bad stomach cramps all the time. Not only when it's due.
My sis and mum both went on the pill and their periods were fine.
