Flowers & invitation for an unknown beauty

Hello there Members & Guests,

I'd like to have your opinion on something that I have done a few years ago. I thought it would be fun to bring this to eNotalone.com to have your opinion spread over this. Here we go:

I saw her in the restaurant that I regularly visited. She worked there and I was amazed by her and wanted to meet her. I didn't know how, so I decided that I would send her flowers and a note, signed with "Mysterious Guest". The flowers and note I had delivered at the place she worked at. The note was somewhat poetic and in the note I explained to her that I would come out and introduce myself later today to invite her for a date.

Here are my questions:

Guys:
- What do you think of this way of inviting a lady?

Ladies
- How would you feel when this would happen to you?
- Would you accept an invitation like that?

Looking forward to read replies on this one ... I'll update you tomorrow on how this actually ended

Oh my God!!! I am groovy?? LOL... that's too funny. I didn't know that. Not fair, though. I did talk to you about this ... you cheated!! :P

I am glad you would accept, because things can be very awkward, though. I had a hard time not chickening out on this one, but I followed through ... *grins*

Thanks for your reply

Thank you Chillyfrog,

Actually I didn't do this as in playing mindgames, though. I hate that kind of stuff. Although, I made her wonder a little bit, I did come out the same day to introduce myself. You know, I was actually pretty bad, because I told a co-worker from her that I would do it. He had a ball over this, because he had to work that day. I just wanted to make sure that she'd be fine and not freak out, so that he could back me up in case she would collapse or so ... remember... I didn't know her

Well I read the title, and I thought I was about to get some flowers or something....lol

Ok well you know, this actually sounds like me... I hate to pass up a chance to me someone that seems interesting. So I would just love this idea.
Would I accept date? Depends on who walks through the door. I dont mean looks per say, but if the guy made me feel strange or seemed "off" of course I would say...you know I have a boyfriend but thank you.

But yes I think its sweet.

Thank you Segagirl,

You would accept, too, eh? Interesting... wondering where all the guys are!! *grins*. I understand that you wouldn't 'date' just anyone, because of what happened. I wonder: how special does a lady feel when this happens to her? I mean, this should boost her ego pretty much, no??

I think that is a god idea.

I like that idea, and will keep it in mind for possible use one day. I think that the hardest part is aproaching the girl once the flowers are sent. I mean I am a big guy (6'3" and 205lbs) but nothing is harder for me than rejection, especially the fear of rejection. But regardless I like this idea.
Anyway what happened?
