cbh1979
OK, so I posted earlier this week on how well no contact was going with my recent ex. I felt I had turned a corner and was really feeling better about things. I come home from a movie, however, to find an email from her. She says she hopes I'm doing well, then goes on to reiterate why she dumped me (didn't feel a connection) and says she just hopes I'm not thinking it's anything I said or did. Then, she wished me luck. Um, why? Ordinarily I'd appreciate the 'hey, how are you doing?' message, but I don't need it all rehashed for me. I got it the first time. We parted on good terms, so I don't get reaching out again. I don't intend to respond, because I really have nothing to say to any of it. But, just frustrating to have it all thrown at me again and to have to read what she told me. Blah. Link to comment
mhowe
Time to block her emails or send them to spam. Link to comment
patterned
Yes it's frustrating. But don't read into it. 'Why' doesn't matter. Link to comment
cbh1979
Yes it's frustrating. But don't read into it. 'Why' doesn't matter. Well, the why was rhetorical in this case. I'm not reading anything into it, just wondered why well enough couldn't have been left alone. Link to comment
mhowe
Because you were succeeding in NC --- and she liked knowing that you were checking in. And now that you are not, she is looking to goad you into a response. Obviously --- don't. Link to comment
