When a guy winks at you, what does that mean exactly?

Something interesting happened today with this cute stranger at mall at the food court. So I was waiting in line at this chinese place trying to order some food. I sparked up an interesting conversation with a nice handsome guy who looked to be my age. We laughed and talked for that brief moment. When I got my food we kinda shared an intense moment where we stared at each other for about 5 seconds and then he winked at me and walked off and told me to have a good one and that was that. I was just curious about what did the brief stare and wink mean? He found me attractive?He wanted to talk or date and why didn't he initiate more after that? I wouldn't have mind talking to him more.. ugh I so suck when it comes to flirting or taking hints from guys lol..

depends on the wink. Is it like when Sonny winked at Will Smith in I, Robot? Or more of a "hey baby what's happening" wink.

It can mean anything from being just playful & flirthy to he wanting to get to know you more.
