Having regular periods while pregnant?
Has anyone experienced this? or know of anyone who has experienced something like this?
Its hard to explain but i have been feeling "pregnant" for the past few months... i have gained 15 pounds, have lower back pain, pee frequently, have some breast tenderness, i am always tired, i have moments of feeling nauseus, and i even threw up this morning. My fiance and I have not been using condoms for about a year now, but i am on the birth control pill, and have not missed a pill. My periods have been right on time, always on the same day i expect them to be, but i have noticed they only last 3-4 days rather than the usual 5-6. I have heard of spotting while pregnant, but is it possible to have 4-5 regular "periods" (at least what i perceive as periods) during pregnancy? |

I am by no means an expert on the subject. So this is all hear-say. But, my ex was in the medical field. According to her, some woman do have a period every month the full term of the pregnancy.

Have you been tested for pregnancy? I would see my doctor if I were you.

This actually happened with an old co-worker of mine. She was actually pregnant, but she never knew about it till she was about 4 months pregnant. She just assumed she was gaining weight because she continued having "periods" every month. She didn't find out that she was pregnant till she went to the doctor.

Why are you putting off getting tested? Do you want to be pregnant?

As is stated here it is completely possible to have several periods while pregnant. One thing no one has mentioned is, do you know, or are you close to anyone who is pregnant, hormones during pregnancy are very strong and if you're with another woman regularly who is expecting it could be affecting you. It's still always best to err on the side of caution and take the test.
