Question Eating disorder medical concern

I have been anorexic/bulimic for about 8 yeears now. At first I started off anorexic for about 3 years and have been bulimic since. I mainly use diuretics (bumetanide and hydrochlorothiazide). My question is....since I have been abusing diuretics I really have to watch my sodium intake and keep it really low, which I do most of the time. But if I go on a binge or eat salt...I feel like I blow up. The next day I feel puffy in my face and body. It is definitely noticeable. And if I eat bad a few days in a row, it is really bad. What did I do to myself? I never was this salt sensitive before. Do I have edema or some other medical condition. What can I do about this?

If you're abusing diuretics, your body actually looses a good amount of sodium and potassium. It might be best to maintain your level of sodium intake to keep your body at a safe ph level. Talk to your doctor about this, he will know how to address it appropriately.

The best thing is to eat normal and sport, guys like girls, not skeletons. You are doing tremendous efforts to balance yourself however not for yourself but for others. What you are doing in reality is just filling one hole by digging another. Bring the power of your life back where it belongs, namely in your hands, and stop caring what other people think of you. You are your own judge jury and executor. So instead of constantly trying to defeat the symptoms you have to find realistic solutions towards your problems. The best thing you can do is just copy the healthy eating behaviour of another person and then try to adjust that to your own style within a calm balance , life is pretty much like standing on a balancing cord and going steadily forwards so that you don't fall. The same counts for eating patterns.
