Guy face skincare?

Okay, I'm 30 and a guy. I'm starting to get older and I want to really take good care of myself. I'm eating near perfectly, exercising daily (thanks, ghost!) and drinking lots of water.

What I want to do now is think about how I can be good to my skin. My facial skin is doing really well, I think for my age. No lines, crows feet, wrinkles, nothing and I have a natural olive complexion so I don't really have to tan.

One thing that isn't really a big deal, but I'm kinda curious about is that up and down my nose, it seems like I have clogged pores. I use Neutrogena exfoliating facial scrub, alpha and beta hydroxy pore toner daily and biore nose strips once a week. However, I can still see almost all the pores on my nose are still clogged with.... junk.

How do I fix this?

Mint Julep mask. Its cheap and does thejob, however, itmight dry your skin out if overused.

I was just about to recommend one of the Neutrogena facial scrubs lol (it's my favorite one). But i understand what you mean though. There always seems to be those little dark spots on the nose and chin that are difficult to get rid of. I have heard that the "oil cleansing method'' can be helpful for this if you use the method continually (there's lots of information if you google it). But otherwise, it's good to remember that everyone has them; it isn't worth being too harsh with your skin to get rid of them.

I've tried a bizillion skin care lines and everything made my skin angry or my eyes water and nothing worked. Even the stuff for sensitive skin--not good. I found Isomers Laboratories (Toronto, Canada and London, UK) who sells online direct and also ShopNBC (USA) and The Shopping Channel (Canada). Big, hUge results--immediately. The kind that had coworkers who don't even know my name stopping me in hallways to ask what I've done. They have a men's line, but all the rest is good for men, too.

My best,
Cat

I found using the Neutrogena Acne Soap daily with a scrubby sponge in the T-zone, plus doing cucumber peel-off masks and any kind of clay mask (the Queen Helene Mint Julep mask, as another poster mentioned, is EXCELLENT). You have to do masks regularly to get the pore refinement you're looking for.

One way to get more out of a mask, especially the peel-off variety, is to steam open your pores first, then apply the mask while your pores are still open. Once dry (20-30 min) you can peel it off and you will SEE what the mask drags out of your face!

The clay masks I steam too, but wash off. They "suck" the toxins out of your skin a different way.

When you have a friend over you can "goddess out" together - do masks and soak your feet while you share a glass of wine or two. I have talked more than a few of my male friends into it! My husband would never admit to it but I've treated his skin, too.

Now for non-oily moisturizer moving forward, I had an old boyfriend who swore by Oil of Olay. It's not expensive, not greasy, and will keep your handsome face soft and wrinkle-free.

Have fun!

They sort of do. But I need something a big sturdier. It pulls some stuff out but not enough.
