Breast cancer worries please help.

recently i have had great pain in my breast, its like the pain when you get cramp, and it feels tight and frequent, the pain is getting worse and i also noticed a yellow stain like mark on my breast which hasn't gone away. i can feel no lumps so i doubt that it's cancer. although i am a worrier and naturally i worry about these types of things cancer runs through my family.

I don't want to go to the doctors, mainly out of shame and embaressment, i know it's stupid not to but i really dont want to. i feel that its nothing although painful it probabally will go away.

is there anyone who can help me on this, or anyone with simular experiances.

plus i am 15 this i feel makes it less likely to be anything.

actually, cancer in the breasts is frequently painless. could be something else, i don't know, but i think you should go to the doctor.

is there any possibility that you are pregnant?

that puts my mind at rest, but there is no possibility that i'm pregnent. and i cant emphasise how much i hate going to the doctors, last time i went i ended up being told i was depressed and now thats all i can associate with the doctors.

just across the top of my breast, the pain is pretty pin pointed, but i'm convinsing myself that i've just bruised under the skin or somthing.

ok, then give it a few days. if the pain goes away, then maybe you are right and it was a bruise. if the pain gets worse or stays, then please get to a doctor.

Any way you could have pulled something or injured the muscle?

The yellow mark sounds like bruising.

sweetheart, I know what its like to worry about health and stuff, especially if you are a natural worrier.. which I am!!

The yellow mark sounds like a bruise and my boyfriend used to nibble the tops of my breasts all the time playfully when I was watching TV or cooking and I wouldn't realise that he would bruise me! soo embarassing!

Anyway I was getting stabbing pains in my breasts and they would hurt frequently. My grandma had breast cancer so naturally I got very scared.

I went to see a female doctor who examined me thoroughly and told me to keep a diary of the pain.. turned out it coincided with my periods and hormone related. The doctor taught me how to check my breasts, standing in front of a mirror naked and putting my hands on my hips and then tensing my chest muscles and looking at my breasts in the mirror, look for dimples, ridges, weird indentations or shape change, get to know your breasts by touch too, do it in the bath with soapy hands and always moisturise them after a bath or shower, this way, you can be sure you would notice a change.

hope this helps hun

Breast cancer at your age would be very very rare...you are still growing hon, your breasts could even be growing more...your not fully developed at 15. Hormones and caffeine, your cycle just before and/or during can cause pain. The streak sounds like a bruise that has started to fade.

Just try and stay calm and go see your gyno for a checkup...everything will be fine.
