Natural Beauty: Does not put makeup on whatsoever (maybe just a tad bit, like clear mascara, lip balm, etc). She brings out her natural beauty by taking great care of her skin so it is naturally radiant and clear. Does not get acrylic nails done, but does keep her nails nice and clean, often applying clear, light pink, or nude nail polish. Does the regular basic hygenes (shower, wash hair, shave, brushes her teeth morning/night, etc) and dresses moderatley nice. Embraces her natural skin tone, and stays out of the sun in fear of getting cancer. Usually goes to the salon to get her eyebrows done nicely, or getting a haircut that works best for her face shape and hair type. Does not dye her hair (Usually though, if bored, they would either soak their hair with coffee to deepen their natural color, or spray some tea/lemon and head outside in the sun to obtain natural highlights) or fight against her natural hair texture, but uses products to help some of it's problem, like frizzy hair or dandruff. Does not starve herself, but rather excercise and eat a healthy diet recommended for her natural body shape. If her teeth color needs a boost, they are not ashamed to admit of bleaching their teeth, but only to an exceptional white shade. They are usually against cruelty of animals, and some are even vegans. Her favorite scent? Her deodorant!
Conventional Beauty: Your everyday woman. Does put on makeup in an acceptable amount. Dyes her hair but usually for going a bit darker/lighter than her natural hair color, to cover up her grays, or to add some highlights/lowlights. However, it's not unsual to see her dye her hair in an extreme, unnatural color, like blue, orange, etc. Paints her nails in many different colors and probably likes to tan outside. Dresses fashionably and is either a trendsetter or a trend-follower. Styles her hair in various ways, always something new. A fan of hair styling products, especially flat irons since it's all the rage. Diets and excercise like anyone would normally do, but will usually obsess over getting the "perfect body" (not always, though.) Always on top for the latest fashion, but sometimes, they like to stick to their own, unique style. Some cannot stand the thought of buying clothes made with real animal skin, and try to be vegetarian, and either they succeed in it or fail misreably. Uses teeth whiteners especially if they have permanent stains on her teeth. Loves perfume and body sprays, and applies them in moderate amount. Artificial Beauty: Does her makeup heavily, like tons of eye makeup. Does extreme changes to her hair, like permanent waves or bleaches it to near white, or dyes it every color under the sun. Uses tanning products when she is naturally very fair, and is a fan of tanning beds. Gets her hair and nails done ONLY at the most reputable salons. Acrylic nails are a must! In love with her hair extensions, false lashes, and lip plumpers. Probably wears colored eye contacts. Undergoes surgery for asthestic reasons. Goes on extreme diets, or in some severe cases, resort to bulemia/aneroxia. Buys and wears expensive designer clothes only, no exceptions! Is on top of the latest fashion trends and likes to look exactly like a model. Uses tons of perfumes and body sprays to smell exceptionally good to the member of the opposite (or same) sex. Is in love with leather, real fur, and other animal-based clothing and products. Goes to the dentist to obtain extremely white teeth to the point of health concern. Vote and post a comment to explain why! THANKS! By the way, I don't know how to make a poll, so I apologize! |

Hmm.
I love the maturity, intelligence, and self-respect implicit in the standards of your "Natural Beauty" archetype. It's very wholistic, sensible, and level-headed; characteristics I find attractive and respectable. However, I think I would prefer a woman that incorporated SOME of the traits of your "Conventional Beauty" archetype also - whilst still retaining that calm, simple, and self-respecting attitude. Those traits include: the use of some, context-appropriate make-up; the use of some, subtle hair-dyes (or, like my girl, henna) to better bring out her natural beauty; and some interest in/effort towards dressing fashionably (but not taking it too seriously). In other words: a level-headed, calm, natural beauty who takes pride in her appearance, and enjoys adding a few feminine touches here and there. So yes. A 70%/30% combination of Natural and Conventional Beauty (as defined by you), in favour of the former. |

thank god my g/f is the mostly "natural beauty" type.
as you get further down the chart, you start seeing people who are very insecure and the drama-type. life is way too short to deal with people like that imo.

Most guys I know dont like a lot of makeup, I dont either.
I understand some have an spf factor though. Whatever you do protect your skin and do go to extreme lengths for tanning, you dont want to look like a roofer when you are 40. Some people look good with a tan and some girls actually look worse and I can never understand why they would prematurely age their skin when they looked just fine before. |
