I know what you mean : (, i'm also trying to lose some weight right now.
I often have cravings as well, but i just try to remind myself that if i give in to them, i will only feel worst later on. Right now i'm trying to come up with ways to treat myself without eating unhealthy/junk foods.
I don't keep any junk foods around the house, and i rarely add any sugar to foods/drinks. The other thing is, i try to remember that when you eat well, you will look better. Your skin/hair usually look a lot more healthy as well. Use anything as motivation :P. I think it would be a good idea to start out with a kind of food journal where you can write down your ideas for healthy meals/snacks. This way you won't be eating random things at the very last minute, and it allows you to have more control.

you have to control your eating habits. you have to change them and get used to it. i had doughnuts in my face all day today. didn't eat a one.

Always remember that your biggest opponent is yourself. Don't give in to the sweets and keep yourself motivated at the gym. Hit the treadmills hard, and as gross as it may seem, try to sweat as much as you can.

My advice would be to STILL eat your sweets, carbs and drink starbucks but only as a reward to yourself.

I workout and eat healthy all week but I would be darned if I don't treat myself to something sweet every Saturday as a reward.

It's hard to cut those yummy foods out of your diet but nothing taste better than the sweet reward of a pint of Ben and Jerrys Cherry Garcia on the weekend! ha ha.

What kind of workout routine do you have if any?

Drink lots of water, stay hydrated. Keep a food diary. Excercize and keep your eyes on the prize.

i like avi's advice. i drink on the weekends as my reward and basically eat a crap meal each weekend. all good....and i still lose weight. i love weekends.

also, chewing gum helps.

but spread out your meals and make them smaller. eat every 3-4 hours when you are awake if you can. consume most of your calories for the day before lunchtime if you can.

I've heard that eating naked in front of the mirror works too. I've never tried it but it's something I read somewhere. To avoid an eating disorder then, maybe allow yourself to eat junk food ONLY naked in front of the mirror and that's the only time and circumstance you are allowed to eat it ....might disuade somewhat.
