mole/birthmark (not sure if i should have it removed?)

I don't even know why i'm asking this..i feel silly. I have this brown mole near my collar bone that has always been there since i was a little girl. It's probably 5 mm in width and it appears flat, but when i touch it it seems to protrude a little bit; it has always been like this, and there have been no changes in it over time.

I haven't ever been told that i should have it removed for any reasons, and i also don't stay out in the sun very much.

I don't know what is wrong with me, but i suddenly am thinking about whether it looks scary to others or something lol. When i was younger i actually liked it and i thought it was unique. Now all of a sudden.. i don't know what is wrong with me lol. I did hear one person comment on it once (in a rude way), and who knows - maybe that got to me? No one close to me in my life has said anything though. I just feel like it's a part of me, and it would be a bit strange to have to removed..but i don't know what to do? Do any of you have moles that are around this size, and would you have it removed, or have you had any removed before?
I may post a picture lol..but i'm not sure.

I would say leave it, it is part of who you are. I have one right in the middle of my throat and my grandfather had the exact same one in the exact same place! I love mine.

It is lovely!!! Leave it. People who make comments about moles and stuff need something to do with their life.

I would leave it it makes u who u r n it's probs one of those things ur parents would of noticed wen u were a baby making you tht little bit more unique.
I had a mole removed for no reason it wasn't even too big or bumpy n I regret it, now I have a big scar because the stitches split. I'd keep it if I were u

omg, I think it's gorgeous! My sister has some little moles like that and I always thought they looked elegant.

If you want to have it removed, though, it may be a very simple process. I had a mole removed from my cheek a few years ago. I was always told by doctors that having it removed would likely leave an even bigger scar. Then a friend who was a dermatologist sprayed this chemical on it. Within a week it had completely disappeared without a trace.

. I can't believe how messed up this is...i never used to really care much. Lately, i just feel like i have a million flaws that no one will accept or tolerate, and i picture myself being rejected because of them. I don't know what my problem is : [

UndermyAmberella, thanku as well. My friend told me that the process is pretty easy and painless; it's funny to think that i could have it removed so quickly and easily as soon as possible, but i guess i can't make up my mind about it, so i end up just leaving it there lol. I have no idea what i will do for now. In some photos of myself i do feel a bit self-conscious if it shows..
