can you get vaginal infection through bathroom?
My roommate keeps complaining about vaginal infections that constantly come back - now I got one after another! Is it through using the same the bathroom? We don't borrow clothing and I'm sure my bf is clean, so where do they come from?!

I can't imagine you'd be getting from the bathroom, unless both of your were wiping your bits all over the shower and toilet. An unwashed towel sounds like a more plausible explanation. What kind of infection are we talking about here? Yeast or something else?

No we don't share towels.
It wasa yeast infection last time, not sure if that's what I'm having now but the symptoms are similar. She keeps taking yeast infection medications. So I was just wondering - coincidence? |

She probably has something else besides a yeast infection if it keeps recurring. You should both probably see a doctor and figure out what you have.

If you don't share towels or clothing that would touch that area, then I would guess it's most likely a coincidence in this case. Maybe you are both experiencing common infections that lots of women can have such as BV? it's difficult to say, but i would agree that it's best to see a doctor to be sure about what is going on.

She is treated by the doctor, her bf also went with her one time. I think I'm going to buy Vagisil Screening Kit and go by what it tells me.

Taking baths increase your chance of getting UTI's and yeast infections. Im not really sure if you can get them from the toilet but it makes sense. (I wish we had a womens only section.) |
