Productivity capacity ability enthusiasm

All of us have days/periods in our lives where we are working harder/longer hours or less ... perhaps procrastinating and being lazy. Do you believe that when we work under a certain threshold (whether it is in terms of hours, effort or productivity) we are shrinking our capacity (whether we define this in terms of ability, productivity, speed, etc..)?

Need to clarify what you mean - it doesn't make much sense.

I *think* I get it. You have to match your tasks to:
Place
Time Available
Energy Required
Tools Needed

I don' think so. I think that when you attempt to do something that doesn't match your energy, you feel lazy. Sometimes you do nothing at all, and it's because you need to recharge.

Your capacity - maybe not. But your skills, sure. And if you're not building up your skills, then you won't be ready for the next level when it comes. I mean, I agree everyone needs a break now and then. But someone once told me that repeated actions become habits, and habits become part of who you are. So whatever you want to become, you need to practice it. I guess that applies to what you don't want to become, you should avoid.
