Is Precognitive dreaming possible?

Last night I had a dream about an old Cosby Show re-run, silly because I have not thought about that show for over 15 years, and this was an ep I had not seen in 20 years. But today, while watching TV, I saw a promo of the mother from the Cosby show speaking. And it was weird since I had not thought about that woman for so many years.

A similar thing like this happened earlier in the week, TV related. And 3 weeks ago I had a long time co-worker friend leave on his last night to work. I was kinda sad to seem him leave. But last week I had a dream one night that he came up to me, saying "Hi." I told him I was glad to see him again. And in the morning of that day, he face-booked me, and I told him I was glad to see him that we could keep in touch.

Over a dozen times over the years in the past, I day dreamed about a moment from a show, or a movie. And a day or so later that ep or show just happen to be in my midst as I was watching TV. This had been going on since I was a little kid as well.

When I was 18, I dreamt that in my work place's employee break room, the managers were tearing off pictures and bumper stickers put up on the outside of everyone's lockers. And the VERY next day, that happened, for real.

My father told me about long ago that his my mother, my grandmother, actually had a dream about the Pearl Harbor attack, and it was the night before it actually happened.

I'm sure you may tell me to be realistic and realize it's all coicedence and all. But I love the idea thoe.

It can happen..it does happen. My strongest messages came in my dreams that actually did happen. I have mentioned my dreams in another thread here. I dont know why it happens some times.. I dont like thinking about it too much either .. Except i do acknowledge it exists and from there... I pray for protection...

I've dreamt about things that end up happening... things that end up coming true. It's a crazy thing to think about or even admit, even scary at times. But that's why I don't talk about it... I'm afraid of what people would think.

I believe anything is possible.

I've had experience of this, dreaming of events - or even small things like dreaming about a person I hadn't seen in years and then seeing them the next day, etc - that proved to be true. It's definitely possible, I've seen it first hand.

However, it's also so important to remember that just because you are capable of having prophetic dreams, that doesn't mean that EVERY dream you dream is going to come true!!

Oh yeh, it's definitely possible!

I had a friend, and every so often she would have a dream about the future (she could always tell them difference between normal dreams and dreams abou the future) and they would ALWAYS come true. Sometimes they were freaky. Like she would dream about someone drowning, and a couple days later she would see someone drown. She dreamed that I would get into a car accident, and the next day, I did. In kindergarden, she dreamed that her best friend would have to move away later because her friend's parents would get divorced. She told her friend about the dream, and later that week, she said good-bye to her friend for the last time, because her friend was moving away cus her parent's were getting divorced. So, yeh, it happens.

Absolutely, there is precognitive dreaming..I have had quite a few...usually dreams to warn of something ie my mother's car losing it's brakes, my step mother falling and breaking her leg while pregnant with my half brother ( he is much younger than me)...A dream about a place my ex and I used to go parking when I was younger where someone walked up to the car meaning to do us harm and I managed to lock the door just in time..(Someone was later found dead there).. I only wish I could have them more often and at will....I believe when you get dejavu, it is because you previously dreamed a situation and don't consciously remember it..

That's interesting... I've had such intense feelings of deja vu that it freaks me out. It's kinda scary and a very weird feeling to have.

I had a vision of a man whos face was blacked out .I believe he was the grim reaper. He was a nice fellow though..very polite and very matter of factly. What got me is someone in the ena dream analyisis thread also dreamed of this same man.It too uncanny..He wanted to take me in my dream...I told him I dont want to go...I felt sick from that dream.Next day I was coming home and got smashed by 2 semi trailer 24 wheeler trucks while in my car...it was not coincidental

Yes I think lots of people have premonition type dreams or a waking thought or vision about something that ends up happening.
My mother kept seeing this person's face in a dream, she didn't know who they were, had never seen them before and years later she actually met that person.
I have had little incidents, like once I was driving along a bit fast and I got a sudden image in my head of a policeman standing by my window and sure enough around the corner I get pulled over for speeding.
I know lots of other people who have experienced the same, I think it happens quite a lot.

I've done this a few times so yeah, I totally believe it. Something triggers it, though, I don't think it's a premonition.
