Question about wedding etiquette...I guess...

Ok, this has been bugging me for years on and off, and I'd like to get some clarification...

I was at my boss's wedding a few years ago. At the reception, she and her husband were making the rounds saying hello to everyone. She came up to me and leaned in like it was going to be a "kiss on the cheek" greeting. I moved around to kiss her on the cheek, she turned her head and kissed me on the lips. Not hard, just a peck. I felt kind of weird after that. Nobody saw it, though. It wasn't an accident, either. She was smiley and talking to me afterwards, so I know she wasn't uncomfortable. But since she's my boss and I work with her, every so often it goes through my head, and I wonder if that's proper etiquette at a wedding?

I don't know if your a male of female...or what country you live in...but in the usa it would seem quite strange to me...the cheek is the norm here.

I'm a male, and it's the U.S.

We were at a co-worker's wedding a few months later, and me and my boss sat next to each other. She was a little drunk and kept asking me why I was single. Her husband joined in, saying "Yeah? I don't get it?" I just don't know what to make of it. After that kiss, everything got strange to me.

I have known men and women who shared platonic friendship and would say hello or goodbye with a kiss (especially if they are italian). But, from the sounds of it, it was the booze talking.
