Laser Tattoo Removal

Has anyone had this done? I am getting a small black tattoo lasered off my upper back and my first session is tomorrow. I'm so scared :| But it is something I have to do. I've found a reputable place who seem to have many success stories. My tattoo is entirely black ink which is easiest to remove. But I'm still quite nervous! Was wondering if anyone has gone through this or has any stories/ advice to share...

Never had a tatto before, but good for you for going on getting it removed, tattoos are horrible and you'll be happier once it's removed. Think twice before going for another one!

Well if you had the courage to get one, you'll find courage to remove it.

A program came on the telly a couple of days ago about this very subject. The pain is about the same so I have been told as having the actual Tattoo in the first place.

Be brave you can do it.

Good luck!

p.s I do have Tattoos though and I love mine... lol

Well I've found the courage to remove it, hence the appointment which I have already made and the consultation I've already gone to. I'm more afraid about how my skin will look after the treatments.

Thanks for the luck! I'm going to a clinic who employ both topical anesthetic cream and anesthetic injections prior to the treatment and so I'm told the removal process is virtually painless.

Any more advice from anyone who has actually had laser removal would be great!

I do hope it's as painless as possible, why not take some ibuprofen before, as long as it is safe to do so of course.

For those who are interested: I have my first session this morning and it was COMPLETELY PAINLESS after the local anesthetic was applied. The application of the local anesthetic didn't hurt either because I had numbing cream. I'm still anxious about how the removal will turn out in the end though.
