Does anyone here study and/or believe in astrology?

I was never interested in astrology one way or the other, until quite recently. I started reading about my sign and found a lot of information very accurate. Then I started reading about the sign of the man I was briefly "seeing", and again, it was almost disturbingly exact.

I am just curious to know what other people think about astrology, and particularly, do you think astrological (sun signs) play any part in how one gets along with or connects with other people (specifically people you are romantically involved with)?

If I remember correctly the astrological signs are based on an earth centered universe, not sun centered, which would throw all the signs off.

That being said... I do think it's eery how close the scorpio description fits me.

But, I don't take too much stock in daily horoscopes and such... most of them are pretty general anyway

I'm typical of my sign and the guy in my life is spookily typical of his..

I don't believe in daily, weekly or whatever horoscopes though, they are a heap of tosh.

Of course, I agree with others that the daily horoscopes are junk. I was not referring to those. I was curious to know if other people believed in astrology in general, and so far it seems people don't take it too seriously. I always thought it was not "logical" as well, but recent events and reading more about it has changed my opinion (to a degree).

Apparantly you can get the Negative and Positive to each star sign though. So one of your Taureans could have been a Positive Taurean, the other a Negative Taurean....their characters can differ somewhat.

Also while we have a sun sign, we also have an Ascendant...and the Ascendant supposedly reflects your personality more, than the sun sign does.
My Ascendant is Aries, sun sign is Libra......and my personality is more that of an Aries I have to say.

I think astrology is interesting and fun but I don't take it too seriously.

I do like to read my horoscope, for the heck of it, when I'm bored.

Sometimes I look up my husband's and son's horoscope.

A woman that was in my grad program used to be heavy into astrology- she used to give me forecasts based not only on sign, but hour of birth, etc. She would be very specific. I liked listening to her.

My Ascendant is Aries, sun sign is Libra......and my personality is more that of an Aries I have to say.

I guess that would make sense, as far as it makes sense! is the Ascendant also referred to as the cusp.. because I'm on the cusp of scorpio... but I am the description of a scorpio almost to a fault.
