heard chance hiv transmission stops after heating 60 degrees or more; what about washing lower temp?

Does it mean washing at a washing machine which often is around 40 degrees doesn´t kill hiv that could be in sperm or blood at for ex. towels or bed covers you (I) want to wash ?

I don't understand why this would be useful, hiv barely survives outside the body and transmission won't take place from towels. So washing sheets and towels at 60 degrees won't affect the chances of transmission. Unless you touched infected fresh blood on a towel with your own open wound (sorry for the image), a towel won't spread hiv.

hiv almost dies instantly outside of the body. air pretty much kills it on the spot.
