Lack of appetite and weight loss over the months..

I don't know but I feel there is a problem with my body and me. I've never really been the type to eat a lot but for the last couple of months it seems that my appetite keeps lessening. Some days I can go with just eating a bowl of cereal or maybe like an apple a day and I'll be fine. But that would be all I eat for the entire day. Or I can eat one big meal and that would basically fill me up for the whole day. Like today.. I fixed leftover spaghetti and I ate that this morning. However I don't have a desire to eat anything else. I could fix me something but my body is not necessarily craving food and it feels I'm basically forcing something in my system that my body doesn't want. People have also started to tell me that I've lost a lot of weight over the past couple of months so I'm a little concerned as I was already skinny to begin with..

You should go to the doctor. Weight loss without trying to diet is a sign that somthing is wrong. Are you depressed?

Have you been particularly anxious/nervous/stressed about something lately? I went through this a little while ago; for 3 weeks I didn't really feel like eating anything, so I just barely ate too. I know the reason why though. If that's not it and your life is completely normal then you should see a doctor.

I have been under a great deal of stress lately but I won't say that I'm necessarily depressed. Could the stress be a cause of my lack of appetite?

Yes to your question.

Also, the less you eat, the more your stomach shrinks, so when you eat, you feel fuller than usual.

I had the EXACT same thing over the last few months.

i totally lost my appetite (didn't eat anything for 3 days), and lost a lot of weight. dropped 2 sizes. it took ages for the doctors to figure out what it was. i was under a lot of stress and worry with work and relationship troubles

turns out my iron was EXTREMELY low. get them to check that.

Wiht low iron you can get tiredness, paleness, heart palpitations, dizziness, headaches, weakness, poor concentration, loss of appetite, loss of weight (which is most likely linked to no appetite)

^^ I have all those bloomin' symptoms! I was tested for anemia last december, all clear. So if it's not low iron, I'd put it down to stress in my honest opinion, stress can take a HUGE toll on the body. Physically and mentaly.
