Psychadelic dreams without drugs

For the past year or so my dreams have been very crazy. I dream of shifting colors and patterns, emotions as a shape or substance, and dark/light energies. This happens almost every night. Sometimes I dream of evil forces concerned with destruction and hate and other nights I'll dream of angel-like creatures. I'm not religious, and I don't take any kinds of drugs, except for a rare aspirin when I have a headache. They're so intense that it's sometimes hard to get a restful sleep. Am I going crazy? Chemically imbalanced? I lead a mostly healthy lifestyle, except for getting enough sleep.. anyone else suffer from this? I'm thinking I should go see a doctor about it.

That sounds really cool! Are you taking any medication? Sometimes those can make you have weird dreams.
I wish that happened to me
But you don't really need to go to the doctor unless it's really bothering you

I used to take melatonin to help sleep properly. It's a natural product I bought at a vitamin store, and it seemed to work at first. But then my body got used to it and sleep problems came back. I don't take melatonin anymore, but the crazy dreams persist..
