Internet addiction?...?

I think I might have a problem and sadly to say, but so do many other people.
I spend most of my life on the internet and I'm beginning to see that it has become a problem for me.

My life revolves around the internet...Literally.

Is anyone else suffering from this on here, or is it just me?

I am suffering from this, big time.

Most of my friends are on the internet. I have anxiety however, so I have very difficult time socializing.

I am on the laptop everyday for so many hours.
Perhaps you should slowly decrease the amount you spend on here, and try going outside everyday? Go to the shops, go to a gym, meet some friends/family, etc.

I don't have an addiction but I used too a few years back. I was on here 24/7....but then I also used to own a graphics domain and I would spend a lot of time maintaining it...ie: making new graphics and websets and a lot of time was spent in graphics programmes.

These days I'm not nearly as bad. The novelty wears off after a few years....LMAO

I don't think I have an all out addiction per se.......I don't have a computer at home so the only time I get on is when I am at work.......even then, I'm either here on ENA or reading the news sites or perhaps doing a little shopping.

I'm definitely addicted, as I don't have much of a life at the moment. When I have a lot going on, like I did this time last year, almost no time was spent online/watching TV. Since my life has taken many, many turns for the worse in 2008, I sit here every day doing a whole lot of nothing.

Once I find a job, I can do that. I have school and can concentrate on that for a while, but it's currently only 1 class. I don't have a gf, so that gives me a lot of free time. And most of my friends have lives (married, children, etc.) so they rarely have time to hang out with single, child-less (thankfully) me.

Granted, I'm only 21 so I have "all the time in the world" to do what I want... but it's the time in-between I'm worried about... like right now. I have some problems I need help overcoming, but with no job, I can't go to therapy. None of my friends or family will listen when I try to talk about my problems either, so it gets bottled up inside and makes it worse. Hence, I stay online and live in a fantasy world of gaming where I can forget my real life problems for several hours a day and just pretend for a while that everything is dandy.

I have two computers at my home, two at work, and one at my bf's house. It is easy to spend too much time online. Sooo...we go out to dinner, go swimming, sit in the jacuzzi (every couple should have one!), or go spend time with friends. We could both spend way to much time online, I think we do right now, so you have to turn off the computer once in awhile and enjoy real life. Hard, I know, but so important!

Ever heard the song "Longview" by Green Day? If you haven't, listen to it and read the lyrics (as most of it applies to me)

I'm definitely addicted to the internet. I haven't talked to my friends in years (we all went our seperate ways), I haven't been in school for about 2 years, I don't have a gf (which is actually a good thing) and I've been out of work for a while too. I don't have a real social life. So I've just been home, and the internet has become a huge part of my life. I think in this day and age, you almost have to have the internet ..but I know that I'm on here way too much.

I switch my laptop on first thing in the morning even before I go to work. If I'm not working, my laptop is on all day as I would just be switching it on and off. It's terrible. If I can't think of anything to go on, i just go on this site, lol or bebo.

It can be really annoying as my Daughter gets really fed up with me being on it all the time. She says she wishes I never got a laptop and that i'm going to spend the rest of my life on it, lol. If I've not been on it for a couple of hours, I feel an urge to go on it.

I think this is an addiction. Even when I have a sore head from being on it doesn't stop me. It passes the hours so quickly and you don't realise. It's mad!!
