Can vaginal infections cause an early period?

I think it was a yest infection I had a week and a half ago, I didn't see the doctor about it until today because I started to get spotting two days ago. I have to wait until Friday to get the results back. I've very recently had my gyn checkup, and bloodwork done, and I got tested again today for Thyroid/pregnancy/std's. I hate waiting so long.. has anyone else gone through this?

Stress could cause it if you're worried, or even your GYN exam.... I've had spotting triggered from that that lasted a day or two. Just random but it's happened a couple times.
