Body acne

Does anyone here suffer from acne on their body? I have done since i was 15, it was so bad as a teenager that i had to take medication, it seemed to really clear up and almost disappeer for a few years but in last couple of years i have got it again (im 27) and its really bothering me, i went to my doctor and he changed my contraceptive pill to a different one, this helped for a while but the acne has started again and seems to get worse esp at that time of the month.

Im going to see my doctor this week about it as its really getting to me. Im very careful about my skin and exfoliate often.

Any advice or tips would be very helpful

I'm 26 and I've had acne everywhere since I was 10--face, back, chest, etc. I hate it and get embarrassed by it. My chest has pretty much cleared up but I still get them, and my back still looks bad a lot of the time. I hate it....

Benzoyl Peroxide works great; I had a horrible patch of acne on one part of my face for a few months. Within 2 or 3 weeks of using Benzoyl Peroxide there was a huge difference; it was hardly even noticeable. I even tried BC pills & another prescription exclusively for acne; neither did a thing. Benzoyl Peroxide is over the counter & you can get it in a small tube in the makeup area at Walmart for a few bucks.

Another thing that works well is Accutane, but it takes forever to start using it if you are female (because of a program set up to avoid pregnancies while taking it- Accutane causes horrible birth defects). It really dries out your skin, but it works.

A great start to ridding acne is always drinking more water, eating better, and trying to reduce stress any way you can. It's not sure fire, but it can't hurt.

You could go see a dermatologist and ask for a (ro)accutane treatment. It will usually permanently get rid of acne (in 90% of all cases if I remember correctly).
