Being uncircumcised more acceptable to cancer / diseases?

People always talk bad about people being uncircumcised. And say you can get cancer of the penis faster and just have all these problems.

Is that true?

Can you really get cancer of the penis from being uncircumcised?

If so how do you prevent is OTHER then getting circumcised?

Not in Europe they don't. And the men here haven't had their penises fall off.

By being cicumcised you could only prevernt cancer of the foreskin and that's because you wouldn't have one.

The best way to prevent cancer is to not be genetically predisposed to it and to eat a diet that is good for you.

What causes foreskin cancer? Just not cleaning it?

Yeah here in America I've heard it's hard to find a guy who is intact. And well it's very well to find a "real" man. That's what most girls have told me.

And well I'm glad to be uncircumcised here in America.

I just hate how people just make it out to be this "HORRIBLE" thing.

Read up about how circumsision came to be such a big deal outside of Jewish and Muslim communities - it's actually quite amusing.

I don't know what causes cancer - it's a whole host of things that come together, environment and genetics ect. Not washing doesn't cause it though, even if it is nasty. If your family doesn't have a history of cancer, I wouldn't worry so much about it.

Who is it, exactly, that's ever suggested the uncircumsized penis as being 'horrible'? I mean, other than your disapproving Rabbi.

I think it's just looked at as unclean because it takes effort to keep it clean, if you don't pull the skin back it can probably harbor bacteria or something.. similar to not cleaning under your fingernails I guess. To me, the idea of circumcising to prevent forskin cancer is the same mentality as removing a baby girl's chest to prevent the possibility of breast cancer. C'mon, really a good idea?

I read on Wikipedia that circumcision reduces the risk of transmission of HIV. However, it is still possible to transmit the disease if someone is circumcised.

There's pros & cons to each side. I think being uncircumcised makes sex more enjoyable, as the area under the skin is less sensitive in circumsized males.

Really, if you are responsible, use protection & clean yourself I don't think there's anything wrong with being uncircumcised. Who ever came up with the idea that cutting off part of the penis was a good idea anyway?

My son is intact because there was no medical evidence to convince me it was necessary.

I agree. When I have kids & if I have a boy, I'm not planning on getting it done either.

Are people just too lazy to clean them self fully?

It takes me an extra....lets see..5 minutes in a shower. Just pull back and let the water hit it, put some soap on a wash cloth and it's all done.

that took long....

Also. Wouldn't you think if your born with it just leave it there. I'm sure it serves a purpose.

And there is NO MEDICAL evidence saying oh you should be circumcised. And I love how people says it prevents HIV, AIDS. That's NOT true. If you have sex with someone who is "INFECTED" you will in fact have a HIGHER chance in getting infected because you made the mistake to have sex with an infected person.

^^ I made that sound like the zombie outbreak was out

Not sure about cancer. However being circumcised does apparently help prevent HIV infection. There was a study being done a couple of years ago in Africa regarding this. They had to stop the study because the evidence appeared over whelming and by continuing the study they were effectively not preventing HIV infection in the group that was not circumcised.
