getting lean
Anyone have any tips for getting that super cut, lean build you see with Brad Pitt circa fight club, or maybe Phelps...or if anyone has seen it, Rocky from the Rocky Horror Picture Show?
I know cardio and diet are most of it, and genes play a big part. Im already in pretty good shape, but I want to go those few extra yards and get more cut. So, any supplements or personal advice that you guys think would work? |

Trust me, your diet will play a very big role when it comes to cutting up, so calculating how many calories you'll need to consume a day (with your current goal) should be one of your main priorities. When leaning up, you'll want to cut back about 200-500 cals a day (from your normal consumption) at the very most.

make sure u keep up the weight training tho...really important
do less weight then u normally would but higher reps. cardio at least 4 times a week at 25 minutes per session or more. keep a diet book, u'll be more on track that way. try carbs loading....this is when u intake all ur complex carbs early in the day (ie. breakfast) and just intake high quality protein, healthy fats...etc for the rest of the day. eat at least 6 times aday to keep ur metabolism up and running at scary speed, just keep these meals small and reasonable in terms of calories and nutrient content. dont listen to the myth, altho genetics play a factor in ur built, theres no limit to it. when ur cutting, make sure ur intakin enough proteins so u lose the least amount of muscles possible. anyways good luck and if u have any questions feel free to msg me. |

I disagree with this. Less weight/higher reps doesn't do much but increase muscular endurance. You can still lift heavy with less reps and still be cut and/or even gain strength in the process despite lower calorie consumption.

None of it really matters except your heart rate. higher heart rate = more fat burned.

The arms, the abs, each part has a lot of different areas you can work on. You need to work on every area, but not excessively.
