Just took 2 birth control pills. Oops.

Quick question. I just accidentily took two birth control pills (30 min. apart). Is it ok if I skip tomorrow's dose and then continue as usual? I don't want my cycle to change by a day lol.

I'd skip tomorrow and then continue on. But, beware, that could screw up your actual protection for a few weeks. Talk to your doctor about precautions.

Skipping that one day messes you up.

That's why it is so important to take it at the same time everyday.

Most people who get pregnant while on birth control get pregnant due to not being diligent with the time.

i once took two in one day as i took my pill, thought i hadn't taken yet, and took it again. i hadn't been on it for awhile, and my body wasn't used to it, and because of that i started menstruating the next day (two weeks early).
to be safe, just use condoms/abstain for five days or so.
i'm no doctor, but i don't like to play with fate when it comes to sex & birth control.

I would not skip tomorrow's pill. Just keep going and finish your cycle a day early.

Thanks for the replies you guys. Yeah, I forgot I took the first pill and then 30 minutes later took another one. D'oh. I use backup protection even when I do take my pill perfectly, so I'm not so concerned with that. I don't want my period to come a day early. That would be on my birthday... >.>

Yeah, you could get extra pills.

I have also heard that you can just skip the period week pills (which are sugar pills, right?) and just go on to your next cycle and then have one big period after that.
