Anyone ever been on Yaz birth control?

First, what does the doctor do before they give you birth control? I want step by step. lol Is there blood tests, vaginal testing, what (ive never been to a gyno, i dont know what goes on. yes, i know, i need to get to one.)? and then, how is that birth control? what does it do to you, physically and emotionally?

any other birth control statements would be appreciated as well. It's just i'm thinking of getting on yaz and i want to know about it and other birth controls as well, i know everybody is different, but i want to hear personal outcomes too.

theres tons of different types of pills and stuff you can use... i would go to planned parenthood and check out the site for it and see what they have to offer. i heard about the yaz birth control pills and i believe it gives to dark marks on your face or something like that its like a side effect from the pill when used with time.

I tried yaz, but had insane migraines on it. I think the hormones in it dont fly well with me. The same thing happened with me on Yasmine.

I just started nuvaring a month ago, this is my second month. So far, its pretty easy. I get some headaches on the week that the ring is out.. but thats just normal for periods an d me. Its fairly light in the hormones as well.

To get on birth control, you will have to have an exam. Pretty much, check your breasts, ovaries, pap smear, and std tests. Its simple. And you should be doing this stuff anyways if you are sexually active. I've never had to take any specific blood tests on birth control.

Make an appointment with an OB GYN, and they will tell you all about different birth controls.

Before they will perscribe you any birth control they will normally give you a pap and go over your medical history with you.

Its known to kill sex drive. Do your research before going on it. EVERY woman is different and has different hormones, so each pill has different side effects on each individual. There are also IUDS and implanon, the patch, the shot DO NOT DO etc.
