Tricked?
My friends in a messy situation.
6 Months ago, he had a one night stand. The girls pregnant, say's its his. And he's not 100% sure. Due to the fact she was on the implant, and he used a condom. Also he didnt ejaculate inside of her. But he's sure the condom didn't break. But also she said that he didnt need to use any protection due to her being on the implant, but he said he wanted to use the condom as well. So they did. I was thinking its odd because its a one night stand with someone you don't know.. STD's anyone? I personally wouldn't ever have a one night stand, but if i were different and did so. I would always use a condom an other protection. She's also stated the fact that she didnt have the implant that long either ( i know you need to either be on your period, or use other contraception till after your period), and is willing to have a DNA test when the babies born, already booked him in for the test apparantly. I really find the whole situation odd, my friends positive the condom didnt break, and he never came inside her. But he knows about pre-cum ofc. I instantly thought home IVF lol, does any one else find this situation odd? |

It could be she doesn't know and several men may be taking the test.
Or, if she knew his income and was trying to trap him into pregnancy and child support, there are ways, including providing him with a condom she has stuck with a pin, or inseminating herself by getting the sperm from the used condom thrown in the trash after he leaves (there have been cases of this especially from women who are trying to entrap a wealthy man into paying large child support). So if he used a condom, not probable, but possible. The only way to tell is the test. |

He's defently going for a DNA test. or he's not going to help in anyway
And I'm not 100% sure of the rules in the UK. But I know my brother has a good job, and doesn't pay support at all to his ex wife an his 3 boys. Infact doesn't want anything to do with them. And no matter how hard my sister in law tries, she's not getting money. Men like my brother should be hung by there wiggly bits imo. So sorry if i am wrong. But looks like the UK really sucks in some ways. But I am pretty sure that if the child is my friends, he'll do the right thing. Not marry her, or live with her. But support the child. He is still not sure if he wants anything to do with the baby. |

Sign off the rights as the parent? I think you can do that in the US, the UK not sure. If hes telling the truth then its probably a very very very slim chance. Then again you don't know if she really got that implant or just wanted to trap any guy to have a kid.

This doesn't add up, but all he can do is wait, and take the test.
Many people think of "one night stands', as no big deal, until something like this happens. If someone is into this kind of lifestyle, they need to realize that a pregnancy is always a possibility, and if you feel responsible enough to have a "one night stand", you have to also be responsible enough to know that this can be a result of that.

Just for anyone's information - No, you cannot do that in the US unless someone else comes forward to adopt the child/take over your financial responsibility or an adoption takes place at birth. You create it, you pay for it, whether you're male or female.

right so it says that it won't be granted just because the parent who files it wants it to be granted. Judges are not fans of signing over rights because they believe, rightly, that parents should be financially responsible for their offspring. Unless there is a situation with all the right factors in place, no judge is just going to let a parent walk away. Another scenario? A judge might let you sign all your rights away but make you pay child support until someone else takes over for you. So you have no rights to see the child, visit the child, etc., but you still have to take care of what you created. In this scenario, it sounds like this guy doesn't have much to worry about, if he's telling the truth about all the facts. SamiJayne, if this guy doesn't want to be responsible for any children he may create, perhaps he may find information about vasectomy to be of interest.
