It depends if they are inheritable or if they are caused by another factor. Did and do you have an IEP at school? My son has learning disabilities but my husband and I do not.

it all deals with genetics, recessive/dominant gene pools and such (I think?). No one can say for sure whether or not your future child will have a disability.

Did your parents have one? Grandparents? Aunts? Uncles?

I have a learning disability to. My mom & DAD had it.so i got mine geneticly.
And i still struggle and have problems with it...

Thers maybe a 50/50 chance your kid might get it find out from your family if its genetic. And if you plan on having kids in the future....and ur wrryed about it still. Make sure you teach your kid at a early age...
Abc's 123's everything kid needs kno. Thers things i wish i had when i was growing up. They have alot more now today to work with kids. THE BEST WAY I CAN THINK OF.I THINK NOTHIN BUT EDUCATIONAL THINGS FOR YOUR KID TO WATCH. I'M JUST AS WRRYED AS YOUR ARE BOUT MY KID GOIN THREW IT TO. I WAS MADE FUN I STRUGGLED IN JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING AS A KID...AND I DONT WANT MY KID JUST AS WELLL TO STRUGGLE......so thats what i'm doin sand i hope u do the same fo urs

My son has an IEP and he is in a regular class but he does his own programme and has an EA. Have you done any genetic testing in your family to find out the problem? If it is family wide I think you should all see a geneticist to pin point what it is.
