My doctor suspects I am allergic to gluten. I'm getting a test done for it soon. is anyone here allergic? it seems like it eliminates almost all foods (or at least all good foods) Is it really hard? are you compleatly limited?

What you have is called Celiac disease. A lot of people have it or develop it in their adult life.
It's more common than you think now-a-days. Even in restaurants, sometimes you will see a section for "gluten-free" meals. Also, major food companies are now coming out with alternative "gluten-free" products. It's not that bad as long as you read the labels carefully and are prepared.

Your most likely going to have eating at more expensive high end restaurants
Some pizza places are now starting to offer gluten free pizza for an extra $3-4 dollars. I work in an higher end restaurant and we know all about celiac disease and what we can and can't serve. |
