anyone knows/confirm that something allergic isn't that heavy if nothing happened with about 3-4 h.?

Friend of mine who is ambulance driver copied me the text out of something about first aid.
Just would love to be more sure/confirmed so I have to worry much less.

If you're asking whether an allergic reaction that appears after 3-4 hours of coming into contact with an allergen is serious the answer is no.

Thank you so much. Thing was I was doubting this time if it really was olive oil that's used in the food for take-away I bought to eat this night after coming from work. B/c texture seemed probably bit different but guess it were just little pieces of the cooked vegetables. They know I'm allergic to walnut (at the moment I prefer to avoid every kind of nuts also b/c there exists cross reaction between the nuts and I want to have result of allergic tests to be sure where I'm allergic for and how much). I was doubting if it could be nut oil, I don't forget it's possible they could mistake while preparing.
In the part of the text friend sent stood that by something heavy allergic (like lifedanger) result will be within about an hour (and other symptomps within half an hour or something). And things that cause much less heavy reactions the period could vary between 1 and 3 hours. It's four and a half hour ago so now I needn't worry . Thanks again.

Usually symptoms will appear right away. Can you give more info on what happened?

ummm....... i'd disagree. while i have an instantanous reaction to cats and dust, to other things, like certain seafoods, it's taken a few hours to show up. and for antibiotics, it's taken me a few days of taking the antibiotic before i break out into a full body rash.

By serious, I meant life threatening. Life threatening symptoms will manifest themselves within the first 30 minutes. A body rash, although uncomfortable is not immediately life threatening.

ah, i see. generally, a rash is considered a 'serious allergic reaction' to an antibiotic and they won't prescribe it for you again, or any antibiotics in that class. but no, i didn't die. but my coworkers did laugh at me, and i was sooooo itchy all over!

I understood it already at the way it is meant.. but hope it also means that if (if it's even possible, the following) symptoms that are serious show up (perhaps lightly) it won't happen person could die after (let's say) three - four hours
