pimple like bump on ear

got rid of soar throat and arm pain.. but this pimple like bump is on the back of my ear. i wana know if it's safe to pop it with a needle. it doesn't have a head to it.

( pimp is in back of ear.. outside of ear )

how can you tell if it's lymp node? a pimple? or a cyst? Reason i'm worried about it, is because i don't want it to be a tumor.

it hurts when i touch it tho. it's red.. my dad said it turns red when it's healing, but i think that's when it'd infected

The only way to find out is by doing a biopsy... I'd say pop it if it's only been there for a few days/weeks

do it after you take a shower. the hot water softens the skin and opens the pores.
if you dont get any puss out of it leave it alone immediately and watch it for the next few days.

If it has no head to it, and has been there for 6 months don't pop it.

Go to a doctor.

I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, but definitely get it checked out to be safe.

I don't think you should use a needle on it- but if you insist just make sure that you sertilize the needle and wash your hands before you do so, and put antibiotic ointment on it.

Really though- you should have it checked by a doctor. -sounds painful.

It's about the size of a large pea. It's sore, due to me screwin around with it
It's been around for 6 months. If it was cancer, i'm sure i'd be feeling some terrible symptoms. I mean, you don't die without having a symptom of having a deadly desease.

Who should I go to? A doctor? Or dermatoligist?

Start with your general doctor and see what he/she says. They may refer you to a dermatologist or be able to treat it themselves. You'll probably get an appointent with your own doctor faster than trying to get a new patient appointment with a dermatologist.
