Late-night date with NO money!?!?!

I need some ideas!

i've been seeing this guy for a couple of weeks. we are both college students and extremely strapped for cash. normally we live in different towns so we never get to see one another. when we do, our dates usually start around 10:30 pm. Since neither of us have any money, we can not afford to do hardly anything. So i'm looking for some creative but cheap ideas for a date tonight. We are limited not only by cash, but also bc we meet up so late. Normally we sit and look at this BEAUTIFUL view of the city and talk for hours, but i would like to surprise him with something fun.

any good ideas? I would really appreciate the help =)

Take him somewhere private and comfortable where the view is great and surprise him with a nice picnic. Doesn't have to be an all out picnic but prepare something nice and make a nice setting out of it. Other than that I don't know.... it's a tough one.

I agree with a late night dinner, but that would mean having to eat a light pre dinner, haha. Well because you need money you have to eat! Have a night session of basketball?

Hey captain, ya took my picnic idea lol.

I doubt this will be viable at the last minute, but in the future if you can do some exploring of your city, rooftops and storm water drains are exctiting places to take someone.

Make out a cute little coupon that says "Free Massage from Your Truly" with little hearts on it. It'd be sweet!

Make sure there is some red, red wine involved. You can get a decent red for cheap! I like Shiraz, myself.

That's a good one. DIY coupons.

Another thing you could do is go somewhere busy and sit and watch people pass by. Or if you're both artistic/musical then create something together.

Since you live in a city, go down to the sidewalk and take a walk around the block (if it
safe, that is). Do some 'window shopping,' and people-watching. Maybe scope out the city ahead of time by looking up some free or cheap entertainment, such as movies, local theaters, etc...

this probably sounds really nerdy but, you could both check out a book @ your local library and read it together! Better yet, check out a video and have a movie night!

So i went to the store and bought some beer and cookies. I figure we can take it to our view and picnic if we want. then an old-fashion playground date, maybe? You are never too old for swing sets and slides. Thanks everyone for your help!
