Exercise to Exorcise the Ex! (Can you say XXX?)

Musashi had a great idea about a group work-out for the recently broken-up. (I still think it's a great idea! Go Ex Factor!)

So anyway, I thought...Why not start a thread so we can talk about it about it here??

I'd like to invite everyone to record their exercising feats in the throes of their breakups. Daily check-ins! Virtual high-fives all around! Through the sweat and the tears, lets make this our best break-up ever! (Wow, I'm way too excited about this.)

This morning I kicked butt in the gym for 1 1/2 hours between jogging, weight training, and the elliptical. Then this afternoon took a looooooooooong sweaty bike ride in the sunshine.

I'm sure I'll wake up with biker's butt tomorrow, but dang it felt good! I don't know why I always forget how fabulous I feel after a good workout.

Summer 10k, here I come!!!

I ran this morning about 8 kilometres. Not sure if that means much to anyone, i don't know the conversion.
towards the end of the run (i am a smoker, exercise is awful, it hates me) i was almost crying, and it felt amazing to be crying about something other than the man for the first time in ages! i burnt so much anger and fuel, and it was very liberating.

Wheezy, good luck studying. Maybe take 15 minutes and meditate instead!

postscript, AWESOME!! I remember when I went through my smoking phase, I could hardly run a mile. You did 8k...that's pretty impressive.

Burning anger...that's a good way of putting it. If anger is fuel, I have a lot to burn through before I wear myself out.

Started hiking. Felt good to get out and see nature. I am in better shape than I thought. There is a world out there after all.

Dear lord, WTM, that's like...30 pounds. Congratulations.

Artop, nothing beats a long hike. I've always wanted to do the appalachain trail...wonder if I'll ever get around to it.

Appalachain mountains are beautiful, especially during the fall. When we were young, we always take a day trip just to look at the leaves.

I am away from work but planning on a 5 mile run + exercises afterward work today. 70 degrees and sunny, no excuse. I put on so much weight since the December breakup, lots of it stress related, the 14 kg loss was inpirational, thanks!

This is great as I planning to run a marathon this fall!

Artop, i did about 50 miles in the 100-mile wilderness in Maine several years ago. It was one of the most memorable experiences in my life. It was fall, too...just beautiful.

cr44, I have been talking about running a marathon for YEARS. This is the first year I actually got halfway serious about it. I've run three 5ks and I'm working up to a 10k by the end of May. Hopefully this summer I'll be able to pull off a half marathon. Then...who knows...maybe by fall it will actually be in my sights. Want to make a marathon pact??

Today right before work I got in 25 pushups and 50 situps. After work I plan on going to the gym for another jog and some weight training.
