Thumbs down man boobs

well, i think theyre coming in. i never used to have a problem with man-boobs, and i dont really have one now, but i fear that they may be starting to fill in.
my family isnt prone to excessive man-boob action, but still, id like to stay flat-chested for a long while.

i fear this is from the holiday season...
my teenage metabolism is fading and i cant eat 10000000 cookies like i used to.

anyone know how to get rid of man-boobs? what sorts of exercises can you do?

i bet that the fat on the pectorals will be the hardest to get rid of. its probably easy to tone the muscle there, but losing the fat seems like it might be hard.

anyways, can anyone offer up some hope? my shirts are pretty fitted (im a sweet tailor!) to my body type and i dont want to shell out the cash for new ones!

You can't target fat loss. If you want to lose fat in one portion of your body, you just need to lower your overall body fat percentage and let your body determine where to remove it from.

You can target tone your body. If your chest is the area you're concerned with, then bench press, squats (yes, squats), and power cleans are your best friends for work outs.

Increase your cardio too. Use High Intensity Training techniques (you can do a google search) to improve your weight loss, and adjust your diet to a more healthy lifestyle.

I think, as long as you didn't develop them early in life, you'll be able to get rid of them.

Everytime I hear the term "man boob", it reminds me of this special I saw years ago.
It was all about men with breasts, although I can't remember when their breast developed.

Anywho, they had to have surgery to get them removed. And then there was this one guy who was operated on, long ago, and he ended up mutilated.
That was in the early days of plastic surgery I think. And I can'y remember what country he was in.

Anywho, I think you should be fine.

Ahh sounds like me, think I'm going to follow this post closely. I don't have man boobs but can see the very very early stages of them forming and starting to get a bit of a belly. Shame I always been able to live of beer and fast food things have to change. Vegetables and beer instead now I guess.

EDIT: How old are you by the way?

Good luck with your goal.

Jon

They're often genetic.
Does you mother have them?

Sorry...

Weight loss is the only thing that seems to reduce them, much as it does for women.
Carrying weight on your toro statistically increases heart disease, but I suppose at your age it's more of an appearance issue. I've noticed that some men develop them with age.

do cardio and get that fat off your body. where your body decides to store it is up to your body. something as simple as pushups isn't going to do jack for you though.
