Going to see a Nutritionist

Hey I was just wondering if it costs anything to go see a nutritionist? I'm really skinny due to the fact I have a really fast metabolism. But I still want to get a professionals advice on how I can work on gaining weight.

do you have health insurance? it may be covered in your plan. give them a call and see what you have to do to be seen. you might have to get a referral from your GP. your doctor may need to make sure that there isn't something else wrong with you.

also, go to a website like [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and journal everything you put into your mouth and how much you exercise for a week or two, so that they have an idea of what might be going on.

good luck

Size is a function of eating. Learn how to squat and deadlift, eat, sleep, eat, repeat...I'm 5'10 and weigh 260lbs at about 17% bodyfat and have never taken steriods, creatine, or any other crappy supplement. Get a watch with a timer and every 2.5 hrs eat. I make a trail mix with oatmeal (raw),nuts, and some dried fruit for when i'm out and about and don't have time for a meal. Most "hard gainers" don't train hard enough and don't eat enough even though they think they are. And sleep as much as you can especially if your lifting.

Creatine is not a 'crappy supplement'. That's like calling protein a 'crappy supplement.' Considering your body creates its own natural reserves of creatine. Ofcourse, an active bodybuilder needs a larger amount of it.

Anyways, besides that stupid comment, the rest of the advice is very good. Eat 6 times a day, plenty of protein, and plenty of sleep.

Id still consider your best option is to see a nutritionist. I've got my CNC diploma as well, but hey, in person is much more effective than over the internet.

creatine is pretty pointless if you are overweight though. i quit using creatine like 4 years ago. that stuff was bringing my liver down. i could feel it. and yes i was drinking massive amounts of water.
