Exercise Regimen

I work out at the gym 3 days per week, which includes squats, flys, situps, and pulls. I also walk back and forth to work 5 days per week, 25 minutes each way. And I jog 3 miles 2 days per week.

I am interested in finding out what other's daily or weekly exercise regimen is made up of.

I usually start out by getting up at about 11am. Then I usually laze around for about 3 hours, eating unhealthily. Then I go and laze some more.

I don't know how I stay slim tbh.

Are you looking to change your routine up? are those the 4 exercises you do only for strength?

I do these exercise to maintain strength and to build muscles. With so much exercise, I expect to see more results. Sometimes I wonder if I should change it up from time to time.

right, but are the exercises you posted above all you do?

there are a number of new exercises that you can do to maintain strength and build some muscle, and they dont take up too much time either. do you go to the gym? or do at home?

If you are doing the exact same routine all the time your body will just hit a plateau where it isn't really benefiting anymore from that particular set of excersises. Not to say it is bad...just you won't see much difference.

The only thing i'd change is the gym routine. ie. Instead of squats, do the leg press, change the excersise for that muscle group. It is still working the same muscles but to your body its different. That might help.

I go the the gym 3 days a week -heading there right now. It probably has to do with the fact, that I have been doing them for such a long time and that my body has gotten use to them.

The jogging regimen is pretty new. At least I like the way it makes me feel after.

Thanks Merrick. I think that I have validated what you said. Please see my above post. My body has indeed gotten use to them. I have been doing essentially the same thing for many, many years. I guess I have to factor in age and as you noted, the body may recognize the change.

Thanks for the advice, I will try the leg press machine when I go to the gym today.

Ok, then ill assume that the 4 exercises that you posted are the ONLY ones you do. You need to find another regimen for now, that will help you right away.

not to hijack this thread but how often should you rotate workouts. i understand that the body does become accustomed to doing just one routine.
