Anyone else believe in Law Of Attraction (LOA) ?

I was just curious if anyone else lives their life in this respect...

What you put out into the world/universe is what you get back in return. The more positive your vibe/energy...the more positive things you attract to yourself and if you ask God/Universe for what it is you need in life, you will receive through gratitude, intention, visualization and "right" action. Would like to hear from anyone who lives their life based on LOA

Thank you.

god is a symbol created to try to understand ourselves. (thats my view on the whole thing, thats not every1's take on reality though) I think if u have a negative outlook, you will obviously attract negative things to your live. Conversely, if you act positively, then the opposite is true. People will respond positively if you are positive (emotions are contagious). If you understand how attraction works, and you act this way, you will be able to attract the women that u want in ur life.

HAND GOES UP***

This is absolutely right. We get what we want and the more hard we work, the more we get. The less we work, the less we'll see. It's very simple.

Hi, i do believe in it in some ways. I think that if you keep your thoughts focussed on what you want and your goals, it's definately beneficial because it makes you much more open to receiving and recognizing what you want. It helps you to seize opportunities when they are present, and keeps your eyes open. When you look for the good, you tend to see more of it. When you look at the bad, you change your lenses and see a lot of bad. It's easier said than done, but i do think it helps a lot. In the book/movie "the Secret" they talk a lot about this, but i don't totally accept what they say. I do believe that faith, positive thinking and visualization is important, but i don't totally believe in what they say about negative thinking. They imply that if you think a negative thought - that you're subconsciously asking for that thing to happen, and that the Universe will serve exactly that. I don't think it works this way. It kind of makes people feel as though every negative thing that happens has been attracted to them, which is totally false in my opinion. Sometimes, things happen for other reasons, i don't believe in taking the whole attraction theory to explain those negative events in a person's life. Thinking negatively is not healthy, but i don't believe that it sets a person up to fail necessarily. Many times, people are pleasantly surprised by something good happening when they had no hope. But as for the positive thinking, i do think it's a good thing, and it is always better than thinking negatively without a doubt.

I think that there is something to it...however, a lot of people who try to force themselves to be positive are delusional/only fooling themselves after a while. Its a good thing to try and combat negative thinking, though.

I was just recently introduced to the Law of Attraction through reading "The Secret". I absolutely believe that life is a self-fulfilling prophecy and that we get out of it what we put into it. It takes a LOT of focus and energy to always be upbeat and positive, though, and, as humans, we are bound to lose that positive energy from time to time.

Haha, I read an old book once by some Florence... She thought the reverse too, the more negative vibe/energy... the more negatve things you attract. She told a woman who owned some funeral clothes that she was a danger to her whole family.

It works. I'm living proof.

I believe that "if you have the faith of God (in other words, great faith or trust that something will happen), when you pray, believe that you have received and you shall have whatsoever you say." That much I firmly believe. In fact, I know that's how it works.

I think some of the Secret is very new age-y and I don't like that. Their theology and view of God as the universe is egregious at best. Nevertheless, there is some truth in many things, even this, so yes, I do acknowledge that this stuff does actually work.

Just as gravity, a physical law works, so does this work, a spiritual law. Just the way things go.

It's beyond simple positive thinking, as what you believe is on an unconscious level. It's deeper than that. You cannot consciously CHOOSE what you believe. You can only attempt to inundate your beliefs with your waking mind, at best. But the results from doing so can yield fantastic rewards, so it's well worth the effort expended.

Edit: To add, I think the dubbing "The Secret" is a nice title, since so few people actually claim to actually utilize and capitalize on these principles. Even among those who profess to understand it, few do, in reality. And even those who do, don't always use this to their benefit. I have been guilty of the same myself, so there ya go.

i believe in this so much. im actually really really into this.

i didnt know there was a book on "the secret" but i have watched the documentary "the secret: the law of attraction" video a few times. its 1.5 hours long.

i dont think this stuff is new age. i think this is something that has been around for a very long time and throughout history civilizations have forgotten them.

ive read conversations with god and hidden messages in water which i think is very much about this same thing, and i've just started reading "lost teachings of atlantis" which i think is about this same subject also.

i dont think there are many people who have actually heard about this law of attraction stuff though. you cant really go up to people and ask them about it or whatever...its good to know that im not the only one that is interested in this kinda stuff though

edit: i think, back when i was younger, i realized that there was a LOA. i didnt know about it or had a name for it, but i lived by it kinda without knowing it. i went from being a really shy kid to a pretty popular funny one. but ive changed back, and its been really really difficult for me to change back...=/
