Just a very quick question, what kind of product could I use that has great hold for like styling, but looks dry/barely noticeable? I tried hairwax a couple of years ago, but it had a terrible hold... Plus, it got way too chunky if you wanted it to at least hold somewhat. So, what else is there?

Mousse is good. As is a texturizer that you mix with liquid gel and blowdry in.

Whatever you do, stay away from pomade or yucky, stiff gels or pastes!

i think it depends on what you are trying to do with your hair and the length of your hair.

Is there a brand of mousse in particular that you might suggest?

Hmmm... Not really. Something without too strong a scent. Actually, I like the Finesse mousse because it doesn't smell fruity. Mousse works best if you run it through your hair when it's wet, and just kinda let it dry naturally. It keeps the sexy wet look as long as you don't play with your hair.

I mix mousse with a thin gel, it works great.

Well, it is very short, and I'm just trying to push it backwards so that maybe it looks more even. Cause I used to always part my hair on the left and now on my left side, the hair grows forward, and on the right, backwards, but I want it all to be go backwards. Know what I mean? I'm asking cause I've seen guys who have like spikey-ish hair, but looks much dryer than any gel I had used back when I spiked my hair.

Have you thought of a different hairstyle completely? I bet the guys you are talking about used mousse. I have an idea! Post a picture of what you're trying to do (ie. from somewhere on the net) and let's see if we can help.

I love playing around with a guy's hairstyle. Any guy of mine has to pretty well accept that I'm going to do so, and the more hair (within reason) he has, the better! I'm totally one for the messyish moussed bed-head look on a guy now. Or with longer hair, the "I just came in from surfing in the ocean" look. Mmmm.
