Losing my Grandmother

I just got a call from my aunt who told me that my grandmother was unresponsive and near death. She has had cancer for some time. I sent her a card last week and was told that she read it and told my aunt to tell me she loved me. I feel fortunate to have been able to tell her that I love her this last time.

Please pray for her for me.

Orlander,

My heart goes out to you and your family. I lost my precious nana a few years ago. I have the wonderful memories and stories that I replay everyday.

I will say a little prayer for you.

I am so sorry!

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. It's never an easy thing to go through and having gone through it myself, I know there is nothing I could say to make it better.

Cancer isnt fair.

I'm so sorry for your grandmother is going through all that pain of being ill, and for you and your family also suffering and feeling for her..
There's nothing much to say, but some sort of comfort should be that your family made her feel loved and she knew that.. That means a lot..
It's a gift having chance to know someone that special who had such impact on your life..
I'm so glad your card arrived on time to tell her you love her.. Lots of people never got this chance, including me when my dad died..
Take care Orlander and try to stay strong..

Thank you everyone. Unfortunately my Grandmother is still hanging on. She is a very very strong woman and the doctors are surprised she is still with us. I want her to be at peace, I really do. I pray for her and think about her. If she hangs on through to Friday I am going to drive to Tucson to be with her.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

Hello Orlander,

I can relate to you, I lost my grandfather three weeks ago, eventhough he had a long life: 93 years of age, no-one can be missed!
I'm glad I got to see my grandfather a few times during his short sick-bed (one week) ... he was also very tough and strong but finaly gave in and died peacefully. I miss him every day. We used to talk so much on the phone and whenever I could I visited him.

Anyway, my thoughts and prayers are with you! Take Care!!!

My grandmother passed away a little while ago. May God take her into his kingdom and may she rest in peace.
